The Tu-154 became for the collective of creators the first passenger aircraft that had no even remotely resembling military prototype. The plane Tu-154 was initially designed in compliance with the canons of the engineering of a passenger machine, with the preliminary study of the supposed needs for such a plane from the side of the Soviet civil air fleet and the requirements of the foreign potential buyers for the nearest 15-20 years, till the beginning of the 80-ies. Its first regular flight "Moscow-Mineralnye Vody" the Tu-154 accomplished on the day of the 49-th anniversary of the "Aeroflot" - in February 9, 1972. In the 80-ies the planes Tu-154 of different modifications became the most popular aircraft of the "Aeroflot". Tu-154 accomplished and accomplishes the flights on the itineraries, which connect almost all metropolises of Russia. In summer periods the plane became the main carrier of the tourists and holidaymakers to the southern cities of the country. The planes Tu-154 accomplished flights to over 80 cities of Europe, Asia and Africa, were represented many times at the international exhibitions and in the air shows.
