It was one of the first ships of the Russian Fleet with a stationary radio station. It was part of the First Pacific Squadron. It was blown up by mines twice (on 10 June and on 10 August 1904). It took part in the attempt of breakthrough to Vladivostok of the detachment of ships on 28 July 1904. From 18 September 1904 Port Arthur and the Russian ships began to be fired by the Japanese heavy guns. By the evening of 25 November the "Sevastopol" turned out to be the only one operable big ship of the squadron. In the night it was brought to the outer harbor and anchored in the White Wolf Bay. Up to 30 Japanese destroyers participated in the torpedo attacks against the "Sevastopol", which were continuing 6 nights long; they shot against the battleship over 80 torpedoes. In the night of 3 December one of the torpedoes got into the stern. The ship ran aground and listed. The surrender of the fortress did not afford to complete the repair of the damages, and on 20 December 1904 the battleship was sunk by the crew at the depth of 50 meters. The model has an excellent detailed drafting. The design almost does not differ from the previous model. The main difference is in colour. This model has a black side. Besides, the deck has a nice wooden texture, on the propellers and portholes bronze has appeared, on the sides and masts the order of mounting of the ladders have changed (the places for the shackles are indicated), the buoys have been added, the bottom and the funnels have a much more pleasant and natural colouring, than in the previous issue.
