The Messerschmitt Bf-109 (Me-109) is a one-engine piston low-wing fighter, which was in service of the Luftwaffe before and during the Second World War. It was used as a fighter, a fighter-interceptor, an altitude fighter, a fighter bomber, a scout plane. By the quantity of the machines produced (as of April 1945 – 33984 planes) it is one of the most mass fighter planes in the history. The modification "Emil" - Messerschmitt Bf-109 E was equipped with a new engine Daimler-Benz DB 601 with the direct fuel injection system and the hydraulic coupling in the drive of the supercharger. The pilots considered "Emil" to be one of the best models Bf-109. In 1939 80 pieces of Bf-109E were sold to Switzerland and were in service of the Air Forces of Switzerland until the end of the war. The party of these planes operated as a part of Fliegerkompagnie 6,15 and 21 of the Air Force of Switzerland with the tail numbers from J-311 to J-390. The Swiss plant "Dornier-Werke AG" in Altenrhein produced also 9 complete airframes, 4 pairs of wings and 7 fuselages mounted between April 1941 and March 1946. The Bf 109E-3 of the Swiss construction had codes from J-391 to J-399 and were identified by the "marked" propeller spinners.
