In 1915 over the fields of battles of the World War I there appeared the airplanes, which could hardly be invented even by the boldest science-fiction writers of the 20th century. The huge four-engined bombers "Iliya Muromets", created by the genius Russian aircraft designer Igor Sikorskyy, inspired the enemy with horror. Till the end of the Great War no one else was ever able to create anything similar. On the 16-17th July 1914 the airplane "Iliya Muromets Kievskyy" made a flight St.Petersburg-Kiev with the stopover in Orsh for 12 hours 30 minutes of flying time. On the return way the stopover was made in Novosokolniki. In total the flight took 30 hours 30 minutes. The big and quite interesting model of this legendary airplane will become an adornment in any aircraft modellists collection
